Evercity Joins Global Consortium to Drive Digital Infrastructure for Local Climate Action at UN Climate Conference SB62

June 18, 2025 – Bonn, Germany. As the world convenes for the UN Climate Conference SB62, Evercity proudly took part in shaping the future of locally led climate innovation.

On June 17th, Evercity co-hosted the “Localization of Climate Innovation” workshop in partnership with GloCha Global Challenges Action Network, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Climate KIC, ICLEI, and the Climate Chain Coalition. The event brought together stakeholders from across the public, private, and civic sectors to address the urgent need for scalable and inclusive climate solutions.

During the event, Evercity joined the newly formed “Data & Digital Innovation Consortium.” This global initiative seeks to build a public digital infrastructure that empowers cities and communities to take meaningful climate action.

The consortium’s goals include:
  • Mobilizing local multistakeholder coalitions for climate action;
  • Matching local policymaker needs—especially in cities—with global digital innovations;
  • Improving access to climate finance for startups and social enterprises working on green technologies;
  • Co-developing tools powered by geospatial data, AI, blockchain, and collective intelligence to support citizens and municipalities.

"We believe the future of climate action is decentralized, data-driven, and digitally empowered. Evercity is excited to contribute our technology and network to this mission," said Alexey Shadrin, CEO of Evercity.
